trust

Trust is a funny word.
It asks for everything while offering nothing in return.

To say “I trust you” is to admit there’s a chance you shouldn’t.
The irony’s baked right in—the word itself feels shaky.
It's like it knows how often it gets broken.

It doesn’t promise safety.
It doesn’t mean the trust you give will come back whole.
All it really says is,
“I’m willing to believe you… for now.”

It's funny how a word meant to feel solid rests on nothing but hope.
