crawl

When my daughters were born, independence seemed a million miles away.
Then, one day, they slithered across our hardwood floors alone.
When asked for a snack, they’d say, “SNACK.”
My wife and I always said, “May I please have a snack?”
It’s taken 4 years, but my oldest daughter says, “Please.”
When I wrote my first song, it sucked.
When I wrote my last song, I liked it.
Life is a crawl.

Daily Writing Tip
Embrace the Crawl
Progress in life, like your daily writing, is incremental.
One foot in front of the other and one word in front of the next.
One day, you’ll wake up, and what seemed impossible will be right before you.
Tomorrow’s Word:
?
Until tomorrow, happy writing!
