crawl

When my daughters were born, independence seemed a million miles away.

Then, one day, they slithered across our hardwood floors alone.

When asked for a snack, they’d say, “SNACK.”

My wife and I always said, “May I please have a snack?”

It’s taken 4 years, but my oldest daughter says, “Please.”

When I wrote my first song, it sucked.

When I wrote my last song, I liked it.

Life is a crawl.

Daily Writing Tip

Embrace the Crawl

  • Progress in life, like your daily writing, is incremental.

  • One foot in front of the other and one word in front of the next.

  • One day, you’ll wake up, and what seemed impossible will be right before you.

Tomorrow’s Word:

Until tomorrow, happy writing!
