Consequences don’t wait for permission.

They are quiet accountants.

We like to imagine we can outwit them but consequences are patient.

They always catch up.

Some are cruel.

Most are lessons.

Mirrors that show us who we are, who we could be, and sometimes, who we never want to be again.

They are not just errors and bad decisions.

They are the good ones, too.

A kind word said today returns as a kind gesture tomorrow.

Consequences remind us that nothing exists in isolation.
